The Mauer Consulting GmbH is a recognized auditing company and, accordingly, is an independent member of the Berlin Chamber of Auditors (Wirtschaftsprüferkammer).

The professionals, auditors and tax consultants of the Mauer Consulting GmbH are, as such, members of the corresponding professional chambers and are all licensed in Germany. They are subject to the legal regulations of their respective profession.

The auditors are members of the Chamber of Auditors and are licensed by the Baden-Württemberg Economics Ministry.

The auditing profession is primarily governed by the following regulations:
 

• German Law Regulating the Profession of Auditors (Wirtschaftsprüferordnung: WPO)
• Professional Charter for Auditors and Sworn Auditors (Berufssatzung für Wirtschaftsprüfer/vBP: BS/WP/vBP)
• Auditors´ Professional Liability Insurance Regulation (Wirtschaftsprüferberufshaftpflichtverordnung: WPBHV)

The tax consultants are members of the Stuttgart Chamber of Tax Consultants (Steuerberaterkammer) and are licensed by the Baden-Württemberg Finance Ministry.
 
The tax consultancy profession is primarily governed by the following regulations:
 

• Tax Consultancy Law ('Steuerberatungsgesetz': StBerG)
• Regulations for Implementing the Tax Consultancy Law
  ('Durchführungsverordnung zum Steuerberatungsgesetz': DVStB)
• Tax Consultants' Fees Regulation ('Steuerberatergebührenverordnung ': StBGebV)
• Code of Conduct for Tax Consultants ('Berufsordnung': BOStB)
